Echoes of Hope

The virtue that once protected me had become my partner in loneliness.
My surrender was foregone and pined for echoes of hope.

The scars that brought me here still hurt.
But it's there age that brings echoes of hope.

My fears are held with my breath.
Yet my prayers are echoes of hope.

Wow that poem leaves me breathless also!
I just love your talents!
The last line is my favorite and I am going to think about that for a really long time.

How beautiful. Your poem gave me shivers of recognition. I love the part about scars. It made me think about what Ernest Hemingway said about how we become strong at the broken places.
